YOGA FLOW & MEDITATION

WHAT YOU NEED
YOGA MAT
YOGA STRAP
I began practicing yoga when I was 19 years old. My first teacher, Maureen Ameche, explained to me how grateful I should be and how wise I would become from finding yoga so young. Everyone has a first day and I remember mine like it was yesterday.
After practicing yoga for about 13 years, I rarely go back to basics. More specifically, basic energetic and structural alignment. For me, asanas became second nature and a tool to relax, clear the mind, and/or connect to myself. But every now and then, it's essential to check back in with your alignment. The energetic movements of prana essentially create the asanas and the structural alignment channels the flow. It's essential to check in to make sure you haven't created any bad habits and to receive the full benefits of practicing yoga.
I've outlined an easy way for you to check in with your alignment, as well as modify poses using a yoga strap and block.
