5 Ingredient, Mixed Berry Sorbet {No Ice Cream Maker Required}


I have seen so many delicious ice cream and sorbet recipes I am dying to try . . . The problem: I often find this one little step "Add mixture to your ice cream maker."  I then realize I should have taken my own advice to read the entire instructions before creating.

I do have to admit one thing.  Marek and I have an ice cream maker from his old house and I have no idea how to use it :O.  The way I see it, there are two possible solutions:  

1)  I learn how to use the ice cream maker

OR . . .

2) I use my loaf pan and see what happens.

I believe I've mentioned my polished procrastination skills before, so you can probably guess which one I chose.  And so you have it . . . Five ingredient, mixed berry sorbet . . . No ice cream maker required! 


WHAT YOU NEED

INGREDIENTS

frozen berries

coconut water

maple syrup

lemon juice

pinch salt

LOAF PAN

BLENDER

RECIPE

5 Ingredient, Mixed Berry Sorbet

SWEET

VEGAN + GLUTEN FREE

serves: 6-8

total time: 2 hrs (needs to freeze)

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 cups berries (frozen)

  • 2 cups coconut water

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

  • pinch salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Freeze berries until firm.
  2. Stir maple syrup into coconut water and blend with frozen berries, lemon juice and salt, until creamy and smooth. Eat immediately soft-serve-style, or freeze in a loaf pan up to 3 days.
